MARS!! Google Map

This post is partly inspired by my buddy, Lobak who blogged about Google Map and its disc size requirement, if were to be stored offline.

Now, you can
have the entire planet earth to yourself,
at the price of
60 terabytes!

and today, I bumped into this.

I wonder how much disc space we will need to have this offline ^_^" Should be a easier task, since Mars is .532 times the diameter of Earth, according to Nasa.

An easier task will be just to keep one tile and repeat it over the whole surface, not like any average joe could tell the difference. Hahaha..
